Bierstadt 2005 Elevation:   14,060' Date:           June 25, 2005 Climbers:    Jody, Art, and Nancy Info:             Mt. Bierstadt was our second climb of the 2005 season. We added a new member to the team, the lovely Nancy "Rock-Dawg" Banner.  We met in Evergreen and drove up through Georgetown to the top of Guanella pass. We started our hike over the boardwalk which was still icy from the morning dew. Art was extremely happy to see the board walk as the first time he made the climb, June of 1987, it involved way too much bushwhacking through the willows and marshes. Rock-Dawg was an excellent climbing partner for the Jodster with Art bringing up the rear.  There were still a few snow fields to navigate but mostly a clear and dry day. We enjoyed a great burrito and numerous beers at The Ram in Georgetown after a very successful day.
